Bhagavatgeeta Chapter 1 Shlokas 32-37

(Arjuna, shattered by the thought of the dire consequences of the war, continues) Krishna, I don't desire victory, I neither desire for the land nor for the luxuries. Govinda, what is the use of land, luxuries and life (after this massive destruction).
We desired victory, land and luxury to enjoy with our beloved ones and flaunt our power in front of our rivals. But, in this war most of them will lose their lives and wealth too will be lost.

Gurus, grandfathers, sons, great grandfathers, uncles, in-laws, grandsons and other relatives are all present here. I don't wish to kill them even if I get killed. I wouldn't kill any of them even if I were promised all the three lokas. How can I kill them for the sake of just this land?

How can we benefit by killing the Dhartarasthras? We too will get contaminated by their bad karmas(paapa) as they are so abonimable.
Hence, we are not justified in killing our own relatives. How can we attain happiness by killing our own people?
Abstract:
Arjuna continues to lament over the realization that he has to kill many of his beloved relatives in the war. He would protect all of them with his life. But this predicament is something he is unprepared for. If he kills his own relatives for the sake of acquiring the land, he would be committing a sin equal to what Dhartarasthras have done. So, he too will be contaminated by the sin that they have committed.
